The FP is along the Dales Way firstly to Barth Bridge and then on to where the FP meets the road close to Dillicar. The walk is straightforward,; the walker encountering a series of gates, stiles and footbridges. (60 min)
Turn left at the road for 400 yd. The FP (to Stone Rigg and Bower Bank) starts to the left of the barn with a sharp left before the cottage. Follow the farm track uphill, keeping to the left of the ruin, continue to the gate leading onto the farm track at Bower Bank. Turn right and follow the track bypassing Tofts to Combe House. The path now goes along a grassy track with views over Dent, follows the fellside contour, and descents to the ladder stile at Stone Rigg. Bear right to find the next ladder stile at the road. (60 min)
Turn right at the road for 600 yd. The FP (to Dent, Nun House, and High Moss) is seen on the left. The fairly rough farm track between stone walls follows the contour high above Dent. The FP sign to Dent on the left indicates Flinter Gill. (35 min)
The track somewhat rough and stony follows the course of Flinter Gill with some spectacular views of the water. At Dent continue straight down the road to the car park. (35 min)
